Changing the Battery in Your mazda 2 key programming 3 Key Fob

It's a pain to pull into your car at the end of a long workday and discover that your key fob is dead. This is a simple fix that can be found at a major box retailer or at a hardware store.

Battery Replacement

If the key fob isn't functioning after you have changed the battery or try to re-program it then the problem may be with the receiver module. This device interprets radio frequency signals received by the key fob to control the vehicle. It could be a costly repair if the device becomes defective.

To check whether this is the case, start by inserting your spare keys into the key slot and setting the ignition to ON. Press the key fob button two times within 10 seconds, without removing it.
