The i3+ EVO and its sibling, the i3 EVO, are identical robots, but they differ in that the i3+ comes with self-emptying features. The i3+ is a good option for those who want an automated, hands-free cleaning experience, but are willing to manually empty the dustbin of the robot when it is full.

Both robots are proficient in removing dirt and dust particles on carpets and hard floors, and they can easily move around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes smart maps of your home that help the i3+ EVO navigate and clean in a manner that maximizes efficiency. The i3+ isn't able to have obstacle avoidance capabilities like the i7+ or any other top-rated robots we tested. It may get stuck on power cords or socks and have trouble moving between different surfaces like carpet and hardwood.

iRobot recommends you clear out areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, which includes getting rid of any clutter or toys it might encounter. It's also an excellent idea to keep the dust bin and filter clean so they aren't clogged by dirt. If the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or the battery is depleted it will return to its docking station and automatically emptying its trash into the station's dust bin and then resumes cleaning where it began. The i7+ is quicker and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also cleaned large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. The main advantage it has over the Eufy is the self-emptying bin which removes major maintenance sources and reduces the cost of maintenance.

We were also impressed by the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa pical, not exceptional, battery-powered cordless vacuum's running time. This is enough time to vacuum the average-sized home, but not enough to reach every spot. (A second pass usually works). This model has its own advantages however: it's light and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models, and its vacuuming ability is noticeable superior for carpet floors with low pile.

4. iRobot Roomba 694

The 694 is a basic robotic vacuum that's a great option for those who don't have lots of money to invest in the latest model of robot. It could pick up the majority of types of debris and sizes during our tests, and frequently went over the same area many times for an efficient clean. Its flat front allows it to reach the corners and edges of walls.

Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt technology to avoid obstacles and navigate your home. However, it lacks the mapping capabilities of more advanced models, such as our top picks, the i3+EVO and j7+ Series. This means that it is sometimes stuck on things like phone cords and furniture that isn't in good condition, and often runs out of battery power before making it back to its original location.

The eufy RoboVac X8 has a superior battery longevity than the Roomba 694. It also has physical boundaries strips that can be controlled by the voice assistant on your smartphone. It's also more durable, has a stronger motor, and performs better on floors with bare or low-pile.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

Samsung is a well-known brand in the field of home electronics. It's not surprising, then, that they are one of the top makers of robot vacuums and mop. Their Jet Bot AI+ is equipped with cutting-edge onboard technology for navigation and obstacles avoidance.

The app offers a variety of customization options for your robotic cleaner. These include virtual barriers, mopping levels and behavior adjustments docking frequency settings, and much more. The app is easy to navigate and use, just like other Samsung devices.

In our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors. It removed 86% of dog hair (on carpet). It was not as successful in avoiding taller items like cords or socks. This was disappointing. It's also a bit more expensive than some of the other models we tried, which might be a deal-breaker for some buyers.
