The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should select if you're looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other models and makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best automatic vacuum navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.

It is very efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single pass. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to remove dirt as well as pet hair and poop effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help draw away debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as effective. The rotating mop spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into narrow corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to clean larger objects, such as broken toys or books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tried. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to install and performs well however this is something you'll have to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners who want a highly effective, versatile, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the home and identify furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this informatis divided into two modules which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping unit that includes microfiber pads. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean you don't have to fret about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up pet hair. It was able to capture an enormous amount of hair our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs while other robots struggled. It was fairly quiet and even had some nice jingles that signalled when it was starting or finishing its work.

The app was too simple and you had to change the modules each time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app isn't able to hold multiple maps, which can be a hassle when you live in a house that has a variety of floors. The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. It does however, have distinct features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's main draw is its enormous dock which doubles as the robot hoover and mop's charging base and the housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a cleaning sink as well as an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.

The base has several control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot, or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to spot obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognizing objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with an obstruction, such as a power cord draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you remove it manually. While this was rare but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert in its application.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a huge contrast to the basic black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in a market dominated by clunky boxy models.
