You can instruct it to clean your kitchen or your entire home. It is also smart enough to be able to understand more commands than other 2-in-1 vacuums and also has a specific mode for dirtier areas.

SMART NAVIGATION

The robot will create a smart map of your house using Imprint technology. It will then clean and mop. This product has some downsides. It's costly. The manual is bare and there aren't any printed instructions on how to fix wifi connectivity problems. If you are able to overcome these minor issues, then the iRobot Roomba Combo is a great investment for your home.

iRobot Roomba Combo j5+

This lets the robot navigate around cords, furniture wires, shoes and even pet pee (which it is able to recognize due to the iRobot's famed P.O.O.P guarantee). The j9+ is also equipped with smaller, more furniture-friendly self-emptying Clean Base.

Once your robot has cleaned an area it docks at the Clean Base and its dirt bin is automatically emptied. The iRobot Home App records each cleaning task and displays cleaned areas in your map. The app allows you to choose a time frame for mopping and/or vacuuming.

The iRobot Home App will estimate the cleaning time when you choose a specific cleaning or mopping time. You can also select the number of passes to clean (1 2, or "room-size", where large rooms are cleaned once and smaller areas are cleaned twice to three times). You can also alter power and water level options and bin behavior.

Another cool feature is the iRobot application's ability to review images. If the robot encounters an obstacle it is unable to identify, it will take pictures and send them to you to review. You can then mark the object as not being an obstacle, or put an area of Keep-Out around it. The j9+ will stay clear of the object for subsequent jobs.

The automatic vacuum and mop mopping feature is one of the main reasons why we like the J9+ to other robot vacuums. The j9+ automatically mops stubborn dirt and debris when you enable SmartScrub in the app. It also has the ability to detect and move around wet spots, coffee spills and grime. However, despite the numerous mopping features that automatically clean the j9+ can't wash its mop pads automatically like its rivals.

iRobot SwitchBot

The SwitchBot is a fantastic choice for those who are fans of robot vacuum cleaners, but prefer the versatility and ease of a mop. This compact robot includes the top features from both categories into one sleek unit that fits neatly into your home decor. It mops and vacuums well, navigates your space easily across different floor surfaces and is able to suction to take care of dust, pet hair, and dust.

The SwitchBot's small size also provides it with an advantage in cluttered rooms where larger robots could struggle to maneuver around furniture. After connecting the SwitchBot to your Wi-Fi, it'll show an app on your phone with simple controls -- a button to begin a cleaning task and another for clearing out any clutter. If the vac setting is on the BrushBot's edge-sweeping feature is spinning and sweeps up any debris that crosses its path. It also reaches underneath chairs and tables which makes it an ideal option for homes that host lots of family gatherings. You can alter the speed, direction, and power of the vacuum motor by using the app settings.

When the SwitchBot is in the mops mode, its bottom is equipped with a disposable wet wipe that you replace after it has run dry. The wipes are less expensive and less wasteful than the disposable pads used by the majority of robotic mops. The wipes fit well and are able to keep them from slipping out as they would on other robot mop.
