Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of removing dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills and stains) in one go without the need to switch out devices. They can also help save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good robot vacuum combination bot must have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's one of the simplest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you running with a clean, full dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in no time.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly app that lets you select the exact kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For instance, you can choose to have the robot clean up the kitchen and living rooms but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. The only problem is that it tends to hit objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick look at the history of cleaning in the app will reveal exactly what the robot has completed, where it's traveling, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.

The docking station has an LCD display that displays the time when maintenance is required like emptying the debris and rinsing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent into the water tank by itself, using a 600ml eufy solution.

You can also view the complete cleaning details within the app, which is intuitively laid out and is easy to comprehend although we would like to be able to distinguish between a mop only vacuum and mop and vacuum clean when looking at a cleaned area in the cleaning history.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's flagship robot vacuum and mop. The model of this year features two agitators built into its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that allows it to pick up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners may miss.

Like the other two Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by adding a dual camera tives available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry mess. It also has a high-quality mop that leaves floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet when in operation and only occasionally bursting during modes changes or self-maintenance.

Another noteworthy characteristic is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners and clean curved furniture like table and chairs' legs. It also allows the robot to access furniture that is low-profile which makes it a great choice for small apartments and condos with tight spaces. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a nice feature that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through excessive back-and forth movements.

In contrast to other robots that only focus on one task, the X40 can perform both vacuuming and mopping simultaneously or separately. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, or reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.

The app is simple to use and understand, and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are simple to install. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, change modes, look at floor plans and maps, and manage mopping setting. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous convenient features, making it a great choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It also can detect when the mop pad is full and notify you when it overflows, thus reducing the need for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It has several characteristics that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to clean floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it comes with a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and dirty spots.

The mop is cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This is an excellent feature because it prevents the growth of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a feature we've yet to see on other robot vacuums and mop models and could be a great way of keeping your home cleaner for longer.

There's a plethora of settings on offer that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a number of different preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or there are buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and has a lot of options to customize the cleaning process, and there are numerous functions that other robots don't include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles, instead of using an individual setting.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. It's a little heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list, at 4kg but it's not too heavy, and feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping system is also well designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
