The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than the other models on this list, which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers one of my top navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last for up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery part way through cleaning.

It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single sweep. Its 8,000pa suction motor will quickly pick up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as effective. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into difficult corners or along baseboards. Those same front arms can also be used to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've used. It is quieter and doesn't make as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's easy to install and performs well however, it's something you'll have to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting pet hair. It was able capture many of the hair sheds from our cats. It even got into some of the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots had struggled. It was fairly silent and also had a few lovely jingles to signalled when it was starting or finishing its work.

The app was too easy and you had to alter the modules each time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app cannot save multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has several floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who want a device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it does have distinct features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its enormous dock that serves as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.

The base also has a variety of control buttons that let you manually start cleaning or recall the robot or start the dock's auto vacuum and mop-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more precise at finding objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally become so entangled with obstacles, like a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you remove it manually. While this was rare however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni does not come with a "stuck" status alert in its application.

Another potential downside is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't a big deal apart from the fact that the mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing appearance in a market that is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
