It's fast and does an excellent job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways with only one motion. Its 8,000pa motor is able to clean dirt hair, pet hair, and poop with ease. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by much. The mop rotates at a high speed and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scraping away dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when getting into narrow corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys or books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't make more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and performs well however, this is something you'll need to be aware of if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum cleaner uk vacuum that can be found in our review, however it comes with some distinctive features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock, which serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning, and an automatic vacuum and mop robot 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.

The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start cleaning or recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two of the buttons to switch on a child lock which is a great option for parents concerned about children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognizing objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally get caught up in an obstacle--such as a power cord draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you free it. This was a rare occurrence however it was frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert in its app.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but the mopping pad doesn't get washed or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a big difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxy models.
