Hi, welcome! Simon here, and I hope you're doing well. In this video, I'll walk you through the process of replacing the screen on a 2021 iPad 9th generation, model A2609. As you can see, the top right corner of this iPad is cracked, and we'll be replacing it with a new screen.
### Identifying the Model
To ensure you have the correct model, turn your iPad over and look at the fine print on the back. If it says A2609, you have the iPad 9th generation.
### Preparing for the Repair
First, buying laptop notebooks turn off the iPad. Always wear safety goggles when dealing with broken glass to protect your eyes. We'll use a heat gun to loosen the adhesive holding the screen in place. If you don't have a heat gun, buying laptop notebooks a hair dryer will work as well. Only heat the area you're working on to prevent the adhesive in other areas from hardening before you get to them.
### Removing the Broken Screen
Heat one corner of the iPad, then use a metal prying tool to start separating the glass. Keep your hand moving to distribute the heat evenly and avoid damaging internal components like the LCD screen or battery. Once the adhesive is soft enough, gently lift the glass, being careful not to break the home button cable or other components.
### Detaching the Home Button
The original home button, which includes Touch ID, needs to be transferred to the new screen. Gently lift the home button cable, taking care not to damage it. Remove any adhesive holding the home button bracket in place.

Cut the flex cable of the broken screen to remove it entirely, making it easier to work on the iPad. There are four screws securing the LCDtwo are hidden under tape. Remove these screws and carefully lift the LCD, which is held by a black adhesive gel. Scrape off the adhesive to free the LCD.
### Installing the New Screen
After removing the broken screen and ensuring no glass or adhesive remains, its time to transfer the home button. Remove the spacer from the new screen and position the home button in the center. Use a small amount of super glue or epoxy to secure the bracket to the back of the screen.
### Reassembling the iPad
Reconnect the screen cables, ensuring they are properly aligned and snap them into place. Reinstall the screws and bracket that secure the LCD. Clean any dust or fingerprints off the LCD before sealing the iPad.
### Applying New Adhesive
Use a 2mm double-sided adhesive tape around the edges of the iPad to secure the new screen. This tape is stronger than the adhesive that comes with most third-party screens, ensuring the screen stays in place.
### Final Steps
Peel off any remaining protective film from the new screen. Align the screen carefully and press it into place. Pay close attention to the flex cable for the LCD to avoid pinching it. Once everything is aligned, press down firmly to ensure a good seal.
### Testing the Repair
