WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect version.

The cost of upgrades will depend on the current level of the item being upgraded but they will always be less expensive than buying new gear from other sources. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from another player will cost 105.
