Anyone who plans to drive certain kinds of vehicles should have a CDL. There are three types of CDL that permit drivers to operate various kinds of vehicles. A Class A CDL allows you to drive tractor trailers. A Class B CDL is the best choice for those who want to drive a school bus or tourist bus. A Class C CDL is best for drivers who wish to work as a long-haul trucker or drive heavier-duty vehicles, like dump trucks and heavy haul trucks.

There are some exceptions to these rules however. Some people with an a Category B licence that was issued before 19 January 2013 may still be able to use tricycles. Others, who are not exempt, must take the moped category AM test. Also, those who hold an entire Category B license issued prior to the 21st of October, 2006 may continue to to drive mopeds, if they are able to pass the moped category AM test.

Streamlined Part 25 applicants will not be subject to the normal processing round procedures and default service rules, however they must still provide all the required information, including a thorough description of their operation, as well as show that their proposed satellites are able to be compatible with existing operators operating in the requested frequency band. Furthermore, they must show that their proposed satellites do not create interference to aircraft or terrestrial mobile services. A streamlined applicant must also agree to consent to deorbiting the satellite within six years after the date of launch. This will help ensure that the frequencies assigned to a simplified Part 25 applicant are used responsibly and benefit the greatest amount of users.
