iRobot Combo Review

Combo is iRobot Braava jet m613440 Robot Mop - Ultimate Connected’s first mop and vacuum robot. It's also its best-looking. The top piece of brushed aluminum and iRobot logo are more elegant than the loud designs of rivals.

You can use the iRobot Home app to set up and guide your robot. The app tracks data about usage and maps of your home including furniture and obstacles. Maps and images are only shared with iRobot if you opt-in.

It's a mop

The Combo irobot is a very smart mopping robot that takes all the smarts of the fantastic Roomba J7+ and adds an onboard water reservoir, a small mopping pad, and a nifty robot arm that lifts and lowers the pad. It can complete quite a bit of work in 11 minutes before running out of juice, and then automatically returning to its base station for recharge.

The model that is equipped with the iRobot Home app so that you can initiate or stop cleaning runs. The robot also looks attractive, with matte black material that does not show dust or fingerprints and a brushed aluminium top piece that has small irobot roomba vacuum mop logo.

It is a great vacuum cleaner, and it has no trouble crossing over large areas of carpet or transition strips between flooring surfaces. It's also able to pick up fine dust that other robotic vacuums fail to pick up. However, it's not well in mowing. It can't get rid of dried milk stains unless you send it four or five times.

IRobot's own Braava Jet M6 mopping robot, which is available in an assortment with the j7 Plus frequently for less than the price of the combo Combo, fares much better in this and other difficult jobs. It's even able to clean up ketchup and wine that has spilled, though I'd advise against sending it after any type of liquid with a high sugar content.

It's an air vacuum

It's also among the most attractive robot vacuums, with a smooth and sleek top piece that doesn't display dust and fingerprints as easily as other models. The tiny water tank and dustbin are easy to close and open, although they're not the best in terms of capacity. The Combo J7+ also comes with the same smarts you'd would expect from iRobot, including map and obstacle avoidance mapping that operates reliably and quickly. However, it's the mopping arm that makes this a standout model in its class. The mop pad is kept on the top of the robot vacuum. When it detects a surface which needs mopping the pad is moved beneath and behind the robotic vacuum. This is a significant improvement over other robot vacuums that require you to manually remove the mop pad to clean hard floors and carpets, or even turn the whole machine off to mop.
