But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. Given that this fridge costs more, I'd expect higher quality.

Other than that the fridge is a fantastic choice. It comes with a huge freezer compartment, which is uncommon in counter-depth French door refrigerators. Additionally, it holds a good amount of frozen food in comparison to similar models.

Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. The refrigerator compartment is 18.5 cubic feet, which is standard for a French-door refrigerator at this price. It has a decent sized freezer in the left side. However it's not the biggest one I've seen.

You can alter the shelves in both compartments for a custom storage solution. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS also looks attractive. The LED lighting adds an attractive accent. The in-door storage bins have a third shelf which can be folded down to store tall items. The drawers have temperature controls, so you can set them to Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, however I found their textured plastic coatings a bit hard on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator is equipped with a full suite of features you'd expect from a refrigerator at this price with Wi-Fi and app support via GE's SmartHQ software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices allows you to control your fridge from anywhere in world, and it has a ton of customization options. It also alerts you when a door is left open, when the refrigerator or freezer needs defrosting and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice it GE PYE22PYNFS could offer Precise Fill the option that is found in a few GE refrigerators that allow users to set the number of cups they would like to dispense. It does have a countdown on the den storing tall items. The shelves are also not resistant to spills and are easily damaged or stained by sharp objects. It's simple to remove the trays from the fridge however, you must clean them frequently to prevent the growth of mold.

The LG LRFLC2706S is a top counter-depth refrigerator that packs a lot of storage into a compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the fridge has the standard French-door layout, with gallon-sized door bins at each door and two rows of shelves that capture spills, and a set of more spacious drawers. The top right shelf can be folded down to give taller items more space. There's also a full-width drawer for deli and an inside water dispenser.

One of the nice features of this refrigerator is that its ice maker is inside the freezer, making it simple to move ice into the fridge to be used when it is needed. The freezer also features innovative design features such as sliding drawers that help you organize your belongings. It has a large bin to store frozen food items, and a separate bin for ice.

Another cool feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. You can control the temperature, lighting, and other aspects of your fridge using your smartphone. It's a good method of monitoring and managing your refrigerator, especially when you're away from home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat but it doesn't improve the efficiency of the fridge. In fact, it took longer to defrost and chill food in this refrigerator as compared to other fridges we tried. This could be due to its greater capacity.

Another issue with the doors of this refrigerator. The handles with a sunken design allow smaller people to open them from the bottom. However taller people will struggle to close them without slamming them. It would have been more effective if they had handles mounted on the front.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent choice for those looking to combine the look of a French door refrigerator with a more efficient design. Its capacity is above average for counter-depth models and is able to cool evenly. It's also a little cheaper than the best counter-depth refrigerator that has an ice maker, which can make it a desirable choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for an french door fridge with ice maker door refrigerator that won't cost a fortune this Frigidaire is a solid option. It's a minimalist design that isn't as striking visually as some of the competition but it does have enough features to make it a good pick. Its most important feature, the adjustable temperature drawer, French Door Fridge Australia helps to keep food items like vegetables and meat fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser as well as a good Ice machine that is fast.

The "Chill Drawer", which sits over the two crisper bins, is another nice feature. This feature can be adjusted using an outside slider that is located inside the drawer. You can also use this to set a general cooling setting for the entire fridge though I've found that adjusting the generic settings tends to have a better effect than specific ones.

In my tests, the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly consistent across all areas of the refrigerator. Temperatures at the top and bottom of the fridge didn't stray significantly from 38 degrees, and the middle of the fridge was within a degree of 36. This is a good performance, but it does not quite make it to the top of our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also combine this fridge with a smart thermometer for more precise measurements of the internal temperature of your fridge.
