The S8 Pro Ultra ran on its usual mop- and vac-settings for approximately 160 minutes before it started to run out of power, and then returned to its base to recharge. The application that runs the appliance is complex, and offers many options to customize the cleaning process. You can set it up manually to start a full map and take care to clean everything that is mapped by the device, or you can choose specific rooms, expandable zones, or even a schedule you've set up. Like all Roborock models we've tested like all the Roborock models we've tested, the Qrevo is a great performer in our tests. Its navigation system works well, mapping rooms quickly and cleaning in an organized way. Its "Normal" pathing setting covers a room well, without any major gaps or missing areas. Reactive Tech's hazard avoidance works well, but it is not as advanced as the color camera systems on the Qrevo Master and the S8 Pro Ultra. It can detect dangers such as carpets with thick padding, but might not be able to identify smaller objects like electrical wires and rug tassels.

The one glaring flaw of this model is the absence of a mop-after-vacuum option which could be a problem for people who spend a lot of time vacuuming prior to cleaning with their robot vacuum cleaner reviews. Thankfully, there's an easy alternative: the app has an option to "clean up" at the end of every vacuuming session. This lets you use the vacuum's mopping capability to remove the last remnants of dust and debris that are left behind by your vacuuming.
