Path of Exile Item Upgrading

Players can upgrade their weapons and equipment using new accessories. They can also improve its base stats or add additional benefits. To upgrade an item, the player has to have it in their inventory as well as access to the kiln.

Usually objects that have weak bases (like rings) can be upgraded to a stronger base while items with strong bases such as Eth titans don't change significantly in their stats after being upgraded.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components are items that can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons, armor and gathering tools, giving an attribute bonus or additional impact when the equipment is in use. They can be purchased from vendors, or found in loot, dropped by enemies, or obtained as a reward for missions or chests. Some upgrades additionally have special cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be above a certain level before they are upgraded.

To upgrade an armor, weapon or other item Upgrader mod in the game, players will have to select it and click the Upgrade button on the toolbar. This will display on the right-hand side of the screen a preview that shows the expected upgrade statistics and the required component or materials.

There are three kinds of upgrade components that are universal upgrades, prefix upgrades, and suffix upgrades. Universal upgrades, such as gems, are able to be put on any type of equipment. They provide a smaller bonus than upgrade components that have a type limitation. Infusions are jewels that are only available in equipment that is legendary or ascended. They provide the same benefits as jewels, but they cannot be used in other equipment. Suffix upgrades are able to be placed in gathering tools, add their name to the end of the name of the item they are attached to, for instance adding the word Glyph to a Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor would make it a Canthan Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor.

In the instance of upgrades for gathering tools when a player swaps one glyph with a different one the old glyph will be returned to the inventory. However, replacing any other upgrade component will destroy it, with the exception of the inscriptions that can be swapped.

Leveling

Path of Exile's upgrade process differs from previous versions in several key ways. Gear is now categorized in tracks and each item can be upgraded so many times before it's "leveled out." The upgrade costs increase with each level, but the materials required do not. This allows players to concentrate their efforts on a handful of key items and maximize their impact, instead of spreading the upgrade costs across several pieces.

This allows the item to receive new upgrade components, and have a greater chance of success. This bonus is called the Artisan's Energy. It will reset to 0 if an upgrade fails or increases when the upgrade succeeds.

When a piece of equipment is upgraded to its highest level it can be eligible to gain affixes which will enhance its capabilities. The number of affixes that are available is determined by the Item Upgrader Mod flat value. These bonuses are added into the standard affixes. The more you upgrade an item, the higher the chance of receiving the bonus of your choice.

The game also comes with number sets that give the player a bonus if three or four upgraded items from the set are placed on an item. This is an excellent method to add a lot of power to a specific character without spending an excessive amount of money.

Many players choose to reroll their equipment and weapons, especially in the early stages of the game. This is because rerolling can offer a quicker route to a more powerful character, allowing them to reach high tiers and progress the game faster.

Sets

Sets are collections of elements that can be arranged in a variety of ways. They can be of different dimensions, have none of the elements, or contain one element. They can be used to organize data or to sort information. They can also be used to analyze patterns. Sets can be categorized in several ways, including by size and shape.

There are many set items available to upgrade in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Some are worth upgrading, others aren't. Armor sets with high defense values or set bonuses are usually worth upgrading. However, upgrades to weapons typically don't improve the quality of the item's stats when in comparison to their purple counterparts. This makes them less attractive to upgrade when your collection of armor and weapons pieces is already huge.

Certain set items are upgraded for their own special functions, which can be particularly beneficial in certain builds. This is evident in Aldur's Advance Boots and Guillaume's Face. Both were upgraded from Exceptional Winged Helm and Exceptional Mirrored Boots respectively, increasing their defense by 217 to 321 (Strength requirement and Level requirement was increased as well).

Another reason for upgrading certain items is to bring them up to parity with their tiers. The Immortal King Set, for example, has a wide range of levels ranging from 29 to 75. Upgrades to lower-level items can increase their defense and make them more competitive when it comes to damage.

To determine if a product is worth upgrading, players must click the Upgrade button on the screen for their character. The item's attributes will be displayed together with any required items. For instance the No-mouth face will require 1.1K Scrap Materials as well as 250 Enchanted Dust, and 5 Glowing Shards to upgrade. Players can also look up the upgrade requirements for specific items at the Cyrodiil Golden vendor or Leaderboard.

In general generally speaking, jewelry and weapons offer more value for trade when they are fully upgraded than armor. Upgrades to gold are recommended for weapons with spells or glyphs that damage weapons. This will result in a significant increase in their performance. This will also boost the defense value of armor that has an updated appearance.
