The upgrade of an item allows players to increase the gear score of an item up to 700 and add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd to increase their stats (like an ideally made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) while others like weapons do not vary greatly post upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can boost their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also have a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. In addition, many weapons have a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon is present on a single unit. This bonus may exceed the damage a weapon upgrade alone can do.

A weapon's upgrade costs depend on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the weapon will continue to rise until it requires an upgrade item to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.

The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. While this is generally an excellent thing however, it could have negative effects as well. For items that only see use in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them could render them useless unless you get a lucky roll.

It is possible to upgrade armor items to increase their effectiveness. For example, if you upgrade a helm or chest, it will boost its base defense while a belt and gloves will improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it can sometimes reroll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading, along with the values of these stats. This means that the weapon will gain 33% attack damage when it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will strike 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button, which is accompanied by circular arrows within the item menu. This will roll an item and alter its stats but not reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make a huge difference to your survivability. Certain sets provide massive increases in poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, making the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the greater defense you can offer your character, the more health you'll get from each point. So, it's best to upgrade your armor.

Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the participant, produce a temporary effect. There are five kinds of potions with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, increasing the effectiveness of their effects. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.

Upgrades to potion cost a certain amount of XP. This can be earned by making them using a craft table or in an chest of the Alchemist. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion used and the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI which allows you to choose the potion that you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they will provide when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.

Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade until you make use of it again or break the bottle within the container it is stored. You can also rename the potion by clicking it in your inventory.

Finally, there are simmering potions that are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone is also added to lingering potions to enhance their effect. The table of potion ingredients is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as the potion of leaping, the potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket can be an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece jewelry. It could be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a purpose but isn't particularly significant such as a thimble. In certain traditions, trinkets are used to signify affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

Trinkets can be upgraded by players in addition to weapons, armor, and potions. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. As with other upgrades to items trinkets are able to be exchanged at will without losing their stats.

Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of every zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available using tokens, gold, or fragments from trinkets that are rare.

Upgrading a trinket is a cost-effective alternative to purchasing new ones. It can be done by a player for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base level as the previous trinket but it also comes with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded once they're no longer useful and allows players to boost their power and value over time. They can be traded among players, making them an alternative to gold.

In general, players should upgrade their top-priority items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are first upgraded before their secondary gear and other pieces of equipment they won't replace in the near future (such as rings or cloaks). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when choosing which items to upgrade. Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level once they are no longer useful, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. A re-upgrade items, however, will destroy the trinket unless it is saved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, but is still cheaper than buying an entirely new trinket.
