World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and PvE Damage.

Components

Upgrade components are only available to equipment that has a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue before a component can be used. When a player upgrade a piece of equipment it will be replaced with an item that is new. The same armor can be transformed into an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This could be a drawback in that the item upgrade could be more expensive even if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, with an initial level and a totally different set of bonuses.
