It's also the first to automatically send you a photo of the object it comes across so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills effortlessly leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't clean areas you do not want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it with your voice.

Its design is also an improvement over the rest, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base's automatic vacuum cleaners Dirt removal System also self-empties, which can cut down on cleaning time.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one location instead of scattering it around the floor. It even managed to capture sand and small gravel that other robots can't. It did all this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, best robot vacuum under 200 but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to tell whether the update actually working until you see it in action.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It's also unable to climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a dock that can create a cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those seeking a great all-round mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the price cost.

If you're looking to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options available. Many eufy models cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and offers a similar in-app experience with more features, including the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

eufy is an Anker company that has a long history of creating robot vacuums that have the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning on hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a reasonable price. It's easy to set it up, simply attach one of the side brush and then turn it on. Then connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock must be placed near an outlet with enough space to move.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise, which means it can be tucked away under couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design is a little less flashy than some of the rival models, sporting a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The way the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from other models. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects it encounters while retaining what it's cleaned and what it isn't able to access. When it's time to recharge, it returns to its starting point and begins cleaning from where it began.

The elegant G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, offers the same battery life and performs better on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It has a bigger dust bin that does not require more emptying. It also comes with boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't require as frequent emptying and is less prone to suffocating bulky material such as cereal.
