WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you an increase in certain statistics. Each upgrade increases item level by +3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.

The cost of upgrades will vary based on the current Item Level Upgrade (Historydb.Date) level of the equipment being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. For example upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from NPCs of item upgraders for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool or armor. button, which will show an image of the item at its next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item upgrade slot and current item level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currency types.
