The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft

Upgrades are new items that increase your stats. They can be used to upgrade trinkets, armor and weapons.

Item upgrades use a system known as "upgrade pity" to calculate probabilities. This system is designed to limit extremes of chance and provide a safety net when upgrading.

Armor

The item upgrader allows players the ability to upgrade equipment levels of their weapons, armor and trinkets. The upgrades are applied to the gear by visiting an upgrader NPC with the appropriate currency. The stats of an item upgrader kit are also upgraded when it is upgraded.

This NPC can be located in every major city and is located in the corner of the city square, near a teleport point. The NPC can be used to upgrade any piece of armor or weapon with the exception of items that require a quest to acquire or craft.

Note: The Best item upgrade used to upgrade your gear is destroyed for ever. You cannot apply multiple upgrades to one piece. If you attempt to do this, the previous upgrade will be replaced.

Upgrade your equipment to increase the damage, your survival and overall power. If you have Benthic equipment that you acquired through the War Within Mythic Dungeon it will be at level 385 and can be upgraded with [Prismatic manapearlsor [Prismatic manapearls]. Upgrades to your PvE gear are account-wide, while upgrades for your PvP gear require a particular currency, such as [Valorstones] or [Harbinger Crests[Harbinger Crests]. The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade additional items of gear in a particular armor slot is reduced after the first upgrade of the equipment.

Weapons

Weapons are an important element of any successful character. They can be used to fend off a murderous monster, kill an intruder or win a shooting competition. They can also hang on the wall. No matter how you plan on using a particular weapon, it's important to be aware that it's possible to upgrade it and change depending on your style of play.

You can upgrade weapons by visiting a blacksmith who has a Weapon workbench. The Blacksmith Hewg, which is located in the right-hand part of the Roundtable Hold hub, is an excellent option to upgrade your main weapon. Iji is a Smithing Master located in the northwestern region, "Road to the Manor" located in Liurna. Smithing Master Iji upgrades both armor and weapons.

As a rule, upgrading an item will increase the weapon's level by 5. Azerite weapons (see below) or other weapons with special abilities will have their ilvl increase by 15 for all upgrades. A player is limited to one active upgrade at a given point in time. If you attempt to apply an upgrade to a weapon which already has an upgrade it will fail and the weapon will be reverted to the previous level.

Upgrades don't just boost the level of the item upgrader kit into an elite version of the same base item. This is accomplished by purchasing an upgrade for a component from the upgrade menu and then slotting it into the base item that has been upgraded.

This unlocks the stats which were restricted to the base item's requirement or the maxed-out version. The increased stats make the upgraded version more valuable than its base counterpart. Below are the tables which show the defense rolls that are maximum for each upgraded version and their upgrade requirements.

Generally upgrading an item can increase its value but there are some exceptions. If an item is limited in its use due to the requirements (whistan's shield, for instance is only available to Facebook sorcs), or has a low base stat however, it is possible to increase its stats to a higher level, it will get low usage and gain only a little value.
