1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO and its i3 EVO sibling, the i3 EVO are the same robots that differ only in that the i3+ has best Self Cleaning vacuum-emptying capabilities. The i3+ is an excellent alternative for those who want a an entirely automated vacuum cleaner, hands-free cleaning experience but are willing to manually empty the dustbin of the robot after it has filled up.

Both robots excel at cleaning up surface debris from hard floors and carpets, and they're very adept in getting around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates intelligent maps of your home, which help the i3+ EVO navigate and clean in a manner that maximizes efficiency. The i3+ isn't able to feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or any other top-rated robots that we tested. It can be stuck on power cords and socks, and may have trouble navigating between surfaces, such as rug and hardwood.

iRobot recommends that you tidy up the area where the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other items it might encounter. It's also recommended to keep the dustbin and filter clean so that they aren't clogged by dirt. When the i3+'s internal bin is full or its battery is empty it will return to its docking station, automatically empties its trash into the station's dust bin and continues cleaning where it started. The battery's life span is approximately an hour-and-a-half of continuous use. It takes 3 hours to fully charge.

2. iRobot i7+ Roomba

The iRobot i7+ is an excellent model from iRobot's flagship line and comes with the latest technology. It's self-charging and self-navigating. -- the most important feature of all -- it has a self-emptying dustbin that eliminates one of the primary sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.

The Roomba I7+ is able to make rooms more efficient maps using Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and it can direct your robot using the app or voice.

The i7+ is more efficient and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, is its self-emptying dustbin that removes a major source of maintenance and cuts down on the cost of mainover the older Dysons models, which require a lengthy charge and are a pain to store.

The main drawback of the V10 is its limited run time. Its marketing claims that it can last up to 60 minutes of running time are not true as CR's tests have shown. This is an average and not a remarkable time for a battery-powered cordless vac. This is still enough to clean most of a home that's average size but not long enough to get every single area (though an additional run-through often will suffice). This doesn't mean that this model doesn't have its benefits: It's lighter and agile than older cordless Dysons and its vacuuming performance is noticeably superior on carpets with a low pile.

4. iRobot Roomba 694

In our tests during our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and it removed 86% of dog hair (on carpet). However, it wasn't particularly well at avoiding larger objects, like cords and socks, which was disappointing. It's also more expensive than other models we've tested and this could be a deal breaker for certain shoppers.
