The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model to look for. It's smaller than other options on this list making it easier to navigate in tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery part way through cleaning.

It is very fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one motion. The suction motor's 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs and the double side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by much. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is useful in narrow corners or along baseboards. The front arms can be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys or books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't produce the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to install, and it works well. The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot cleaner vacuum and mop that is, it can do mopping and vacuuming. The robot has two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping module with microfiber pads that snap in and out of place. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned, but they do mean you don't have to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

Our test participants found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its best feature was its precise map of your floorplan that it uses to create an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which can help to protect specific areas of your home from being swept with a mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a amazing job of collecting pet hair. It was able capture a large amount of hair that shed by our cats and even got into the nooks and crevices of our stairs while other robots struggled. It was quiet and even had some nice jingles that indicated when it was beginning or finished its work.

Its biggest drawbacks were its lack of sophistication and the necessity to swap between the modules to switch between vacuuming and mopping. The app isn't able to hold multiple maps, which can be a pain if you have a home that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot vacuum with mop is a great choice for those who want a device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, but it also has distinct features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock which doubles as the robot's charging base and housing for two water tanks, a cleaning sink, and a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.

The base has a couple of buttons for control that allow you to manually start cleaning tasks, recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to switch on a child lock, which is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can sometimes get so entangled with an obstacle--such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you free it. This is a rare event however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert on its app.

Another issue that could be a problem is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during cleaning. You will need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't an issue except for the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.

On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing appearance in a market which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
