The i3+ isn't able to feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or other top-rated robots we tested. It can be stuck on power cords or socks, and may have trouble navigating between different surfaces like rug and hardwood.

iRobot recommends you clear out areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, which includes putting away any clutter or toys it might encounter. It is also recommended to keep the filters and dust bin free of dirt to prevent them from becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station and automatically takes the dirt out of the docking station's external dustbin. Then it continues cleaning from where it began. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use, and takes around three hours to fully recharge.

Its main's main drawback is its limited run time. Its marketing claims that it can last up to 60 minutes of run time are a bit misleading as CR's tests have shown. This is a typical battery-powered cordless vacuum's run time. This is enough time to sweep a typical-sized home but not enough to reach every spot. (A second pass generally works). However, this model isn't a good choice: It's lighter and mobile than the older cordless Dysons and its vacuuming performance is significantly better on low-pile carpet.

4. iRobot Roomba 694

It is also more durable, has a stronger motor, and performs better on floors with low pile and bare.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

In our tests during our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and removed 86% of dog hair (on carpet).
